For the night before the flight, I'd definitely stay in Inverness itself. Options that work well for the early flight are the Premier Inn or Travelodge in the city centre and very close to the bus and train station. The bus will take you straight to the terminal. Slightly further out, there is a Jury's Inn right by another bus stop. There is an on-airport hotel currently under construction so you might want to check that nearer the time. That said, the area around Inverness is stunning and worth some time. If you are in to walking etc, then definitely look into staying at Craigendarroch.
