Stay Report - 9/10 - 9/11
Location: The hotel is located in a strip mall area just southeast of where I-185 and US 80 intersect each other. In the same complex as the hotel are a Red Lobster, Arbys, TGI Fridays, Longhorn Steakhouse, Waffle House, Red Robin and a Lowes and a Walmart. It's pretty handy if you don't have a car. It's about a 75 minute drive back to ATL or 10 minutes to CSG if you're flying in there.
Hotel: The hotel design is not one I'm familiar and I think it's a convert. There's a decent sized parking lot around the long rectangle building. The lobby is pleasant enough and has the usual snack and sundry shop. There's just one elevator so waits can be a little long.
Check In: Quick and painless which is what everyone wants to see at 11:45 PM though I was annoyingly not offered my Titanium Amenity.
Room: Pretty standard SHS room. Small kitchen area when you enter, desk near the living room couch, large king sized bed with outlets next to it and the usual weird SHS bathroom design. The TV was set up with Internet TV though I wish it wasn't SHS policy to have the TVs on and blaring when you enter the room. There was a nice letter and goodie bag waiting for me in the room too thanking me for my loyalty.
Breakfast: Runs from 6-9 weekdays and 7-10 weekends. I arrived at 9:05 as they were putting food away but they allowed me to quickly take some food before it was dismantled.
This is a way better choice for Columbus than the CY, I'll be back.
