Concorde is not that good......

OK, so it was a mileage ticket, I went to NYC yesterday on Concorde, it was my second time on her and was not at all impressed. Maybe it was they fact that I spent most of my summer weekends on CX in first, maybe it was the fact that the "Concorde Experience English Breakfast" tasted like something from a roadside cafe, let alone the cheap plastic utensils . The toilets were dirty and parts were falling apart and the so called new look looked very similar to the old look.

The first time was lovely, a once-in-a lifetime exprerience that should have been left at that. Thank goodness this one was a freeby and that the last one was a paid ticket...

The flight back in first certainly made up for it. I was booked on the 116 and I was travelling with someone who was to fly back on the 174 (19:00) (in WT+). When I entered the lounge the desk agent asked if I would also like to be on the early flight, he arranged it all, got me on seat of my choice and even got me on the connecting flight to AMS. Considering the fact that these flights were not available earlier for redemtion and that my attempts in LHR to change it also did not succeed this was remarkable service that made my shopping trip another to remeber for a long time

P.S. finding an Xbox and Gamecube in NYC is hell

P.S.S. for regular european travellers through AMS, get a Privium card, it make passport control SO much nicer
