My current itinerary has me getting into MLE at 3:30PM as well and it's imperative I make it to the resort as I've booked 5 nights for 5th night free... Heard there's a new airport being built close to the resort which should make getting in same-day more feasible?
The reservations manager mentioned that airport is slated to open around December 2019. They can fly you to another domestic airport and then bring you to the resort by speedboat for the same price as the seaplane. The domestic flight is 70 minutes and the speedboat is 50 minutes. Since the new airport isn't open you'd fly to Ifuru Domestic Airport. I believe you should be able to look up the flight times for your travel date. For my travel date there was a 5:30pm and a 11:10pm domestic flight.
