I didn't got many details at that time, but according to this french article Aigle Azur wants to sell their flights to Portugal to Vueling, the idea is to isolate the France<->Portugal flights into a small structure (including airport slots, planes, staff, etc), and then selling it to Vueling.

Not that it matters anyway, with the bankruptcy that plan is harder to pull off.
