After my most recent visit two weeks ago, in my opinion, Oh Boo! on Barangaroo has the best fine chocolates in Sydney. I met the owner and she studied chocolate making in Belgium.

Just William on William St. in Paddington, while quite good, is not in the same league, but would be my second choice. Just William has probably the nicest packaging I’ve ever seen for a chocolate shop, including my favorite shops in Europe. Really impressive!

I prefer locally owned, non-chain, non-industrial chocolate shops that make high end and high quality product. I tried some of the more well known shops mentioned in this thread, but they just didn’t hit the mark for me. But, it’s great to have so many choices in Sydney.
