Hello. Just an update on the more positive side of pre-arrival contact. I was really disappointed with the service - different people giving different messages, one person being unaware that the boat transfer was the return price for me as i received the error email initally, wouldn't change the room to OWV where others had etc. Combining this interaction with experiences of other guests actually led to me cancelling my reservation. It's our honeymoon and quite simply didn't want to risk it.
However, to their credit, they caught wind of this and got in touch with me being very apologetic, promising to make amends and offering to re-instate my redemption booking at the 120k rate (availability was not showing on the Hilton site so they made an exception). They called me and whatsapped to confirm the booking, and all in all its just felt better.
They're not perfect just yet and teething problems without doubt still exist - but this, and comments from others above - suggest they are learning fast. Felt it was only fair to share this positive experience as I was very quick to share the negative!
