if someone wanted to stay at WA LV with FHR benefits, reading our discussion would inform them that "Pay At Hotel" is not always an option online for this property. meaning, they would have to call or prepay the entire balance for 5X MR which presents several issues related to elite status/points/benefits recognition when using amex OTA.

also critical to mention that you do not get 5X MR if you book via phone. and for reasons beyond my comprehension, many people on FT hate speaking with humans over a live call. therefore, depending on the dates selected for WA LV, they may have to select another property or forget about FHR since you cant book online without prepay.

and for people who have "never encountered the situation" as you had mentioned, now they know Bellagio is a good example of where the "Pay At Hotel" option is not available.
