The thing that most likely would pressure Discover is if they feel they are starting to lose out on the transit business in those areas that have gone contactless for transit entry. Depends on user behavior and whether people are willing to take the extra effort to load mobile wallets. My guess is being people are lazy that eventually Discover will follow the industry and add contactless support directly to the cards. Just a question of when.
