In a typical Citi fashion, Apple Pay shows my Premier card changed to Rewards+ about a day after speaking with the rep. I called and was told by a US-based rep confirmed the card is indeed a Rewards+ now and that she’s never heard of having to wait 50 days for a product change.
The case where I'm pretty sure you'd have to wait 50 days for a product change would be if you requested a product change 50 days before your 1-year anniversary (and they accepted the request that early). Because of an interpretation of a federal law, these days many banks don't you let you product change until you're at least 1 full year past opening the card.
