Departures from SOF are consistently under $2K, if you don't mind the detour.
SOF is not going to cut because we're originating in MLE. There is nothing direct to SOF so would be 12 to 14 hours to there and then another 26 hours for SOF-DOH-JFK. So although the price is ~$1800 from SOF it's really excessive traveling and not worth it for us.
CMB on the other hand is only 1 1/2 hour flight from MLE and then CMB-DOH-JFK is a little under $2800, but I would still like to know where I can find it for around $2k.
