I told them about all of this and hopefully they will fix it as its not ok. It also seemed to be declining almost all MSD ctls transactions as well its very odd. The Habit Burger Grill and In-N-Out Burger both worked so they must be EMV contactless. It did work at some gas pumps but declined at others but never worked inside at Commander or Passport locations. WF debit worked perfectly everywhere so yeah something isn't right. Sometimes its easier to disable debit pin for compatibility reasons but for credit cards that is different and I doubt this kind of issue happens often and its probably just my luck. Its not limited to my card only though so they for sure jacked something up on the issuer side.
Yep, I confirmed EMV contactless at those two a bit ago with the Citi MC. Kinda wish they printed EMV info on receipts but I'm not sure many people outside FT will care (even though it's something that's supposed to be done on a compliant implementation and all).
As for declining MSD, if it's a Visa card it's not too much of a surprise considering that EMV contactless was supposed to be enabled at the merchant level back in April. Still, I'm not sure it's a good idea until at least after MSD is supposed to be removed entirely from terminals (next month IIRC). And even then it
still might not be a good idea considering how many MSD only locations I've found.
