I admit I am confused about this also. There are threads posters have stated they added legs after the fact to award tickets. I realize that's a different scenario than adding a revenue ticket to an award ticket. But even after reading many threads, I'm still not certain when or how the additions can be made. It sounds like they can be added to the same PNR after the initial purchase, at least in some situations??? (My question is general to AA and AA partners / associates -- I realize it wouldn't work under an AF combination.)
