LOL, it's been a long time since I've felt "inexperienced" about travelling Japan. Sure, all that information was available and not checking the location at time of booking is no one's fault but my own. But when organizing a complex trip, it happens.
I'm glad to hear you have better experience with the front desk than I did but that doesn't invalidate the fact that I received poor treatment. Maybe if you have 30 stays, you get treated better.
