We simply had no choice. Mass riots/protests were going on the entire time we were on vacation. I just wasn't willing to chance it as mrs. daberlin is not the most adventurous of traveller. I was able to cancel our reservations at the Ritz Hong Kong (I was SO looking forward to their club floor!!) but HK Express was throughly unsympathetic regarding our concern for safety. Pretty much lost most of our $800 RT plane ticket. We're getting $50 back from the taxes.
