To resurrect an old thread, can I ask a question that frankly, I have no excuse for not knowing the answer given my contribution upthread.

Can someone with a better memory please remind me if the BA transfer is effectively instant or not. Have friends booking their first 2-4-1 who will need a small top up, and don't want to try book it before the extra gets moved.
