While this clearly states that only HON/SEN get free ASR, I had two LH TATL reservations that allowed me to select a seat in the "standard seat" area for free. My only explanation is that it is my *G status, or possibly a corporate agreement (I work for a Germany company) that allows this. One of these was an E fare (220 ticket) and the other an L fare (016 ticket in October). I ended up cancelling the E fare due to a change in plans, but still have the L fare and can change to any "standard seat" using LH.com.
As a *G, I could not select seats on the website for a long-haul on a B fare, so perhaps it was your corporate agreement or something else that allowed for a seat assignment.
