My flight tomorrow NRT-ICN is cancelled due to severe weather (typhoon). The airline offered a refund and did not rebook me on a later flight (they are accepting refund requests through email and the reservation line is closed for the night).
Does trip delay benefits kick-in for this situation?
- The same airline has only one other flight that is more than 6 hours later (original flight booked with CSR).
- The later flight is not bookable for whatever reason (errors out on airline's own website).
- If I try, I can get another ticket tomorrow within 6 hours of my original departure time, with other airlines of course.
