Separate tickets is perfectly fine. I can't even recall the last time I took advantage of TWOV with all the flights on the same ticket.

I understand the official language may infer 'one ticket', but this has never been a requirement since the time this thread was created, and we've never had an instance on this board, or any others I aware of, where TWOV was denied due to separate tickets.
Another friend of mine just reminded me, and I think I have read someone on this thread have done it, but I still want to check:
my friend can also buy a ticket such as:
CDG-PVG-MUC, or FRA-PVG-ZRH.
Both are still eligible since France and Germany are not the same country, and likewise Germany and Switzerland are not?
