This question has actually been asked and confirmed by a few, but I still want to double check since it would be one of my business partner trying to take advantage of this policy this time.
So he is German citizen and would need to visit Shanghai in less than two weeks for business, and he is afraid of not having enough time for a visa.
So if he booked MUC (or FRA or CDG)-PVG on one ticket, and PVG-NRT (or ICN or TPE) on a seperate ticket, is it okay?
The thing is on multiple government website in Chinese they always read "联程客票" which seems to suggest "ticket under one reservation" (understood so by some when I posted the same question on Chinese-language forum), but their English websites always only read "onward ticket".
Now I am really somewhat confused and just want to seek for some final confirmations from someone who have done it, before giving out advice for my German friend.
Separate tickets is perfectly fine. I can't even recall the last time I took advantage of TWOV with all the flights on the same ticket.
I understand the official language may infer 'one ticket', but this has never been a requirement since the time this thread was created, and we've never had an instance on this board, or any others I aware of, where TWOV was denied due to separate tickets.
