If you have an awesome FA like I did on our flight from BOS - LAX, he or she will come through the FC cabin and offer extra blankets because they already know the blue thin ones are useless. Two of them together work really well though.
This is the blanket I have gotten. I am glad I asked about this one and it seems to have brought up a good discussion, thanks for all the feedback.
