Thank you for that advice. The provider was a PA (Physician's Assistant) rather than an MD. Do you think that would matter?

The first cancellation was in Yellowstone, and the policy is no refund if canceled within seven days. I didn't think to ask if there was an exception for medical problems. Based on your comment, I called back and asked. After a few minutes on hold, the agent returned and said I should see a refund on my card in a week or two. I asked if I needed to send a doctor's note; the answer was no. That was a lot simpler than filing a claim. Thanks!
