Adapter to use the airlines headphones with my tablet.

As the title says, that is what I am looking for. I don't need a lecture why this may not be possible (I understand why and all the issues that go with it), but I'm having no luck finding anything online to help me do this so I'm wondering if anyone has ever solved this.
Basically, when you get in business/first on a lot of flights you get some pretty nice noise cancelling headphones to use. They all seem to have either 2 or 3 prongs that plugs into the seat system that is incompatible with any personal devices that we carry. I don't travel with my own headphones because I would only use them on the flights and have to carry them around for 3 or 4 weeks while I am on my trip. I understand they do this to keep people from walking away with the headphones.
So, here are the two solutions that I can think of, though neither one may be possible...
1) Buy an adapter that allows me to plug their headphones into my tablet. The obvious solution. Turns the 2 or 3 plugs into one. All the adapters I find online go the other way (for plugging OUR headphones into the seat plug).
2) Another option would be to plug my tablet/phone into the seat system to access the data on it. When I plug into the usb plug my phone always asks me what I want to do with it, but there's no option in the seat system to access the data there...is this possible?
I don't know if there are any other solutions, but maybe someone has come up with something.
