My LHR-GLA flight left from the A gates if that makes any difference - had to jog a ways to make the train to get to the A gates from IIRC the C gates where BNA-LHR landed. I can't remember if the passport controls were before or after that. I do remember I had to have my picture taken two, maybe three times ("glasses off.") Came up a long escalator and spang into a long queue of people putting shoes and electronics in bins for the carryon x-rays.

I'll be glad to provide details via PM or whatever (if it'd help others) as I was pretty unpleasantly surprised.

One more detail: No security at all upon arrival at GLA. Got off plane, picked up bags, away I went.
