In which case, and knowing she may be in a wheelchair, you would have 2 routes, one via landside, and one airside. If you booked assistance you'd be going airside and you would be briefly separated since you would have to clear UK and Ireland passports - which is unnecessary hence why for you landside is easier. However you do it there is a security check, and however you do it there isn't a formal passport check for your mother.

For the flight from DUB-LHR you will arrive at gate 23 or near to there.
sorry for reopening the thread..im flying this sunday, so just wanted to refresh it.
flying with my mom from dub to lhr BA flight
she is flying from LHR to BLR on BA
I am flying very late in the evening from LHR to DUB on BA.
so all are in T5.

she is on wheelchair. so if i follow her, we will go via airside. as per your note, we will be briefly separated. why is it so? can i not be with her during passport control?
could i not go through passport control along with her wheelchair?
