IATA mandates 23kg as the maximum weight that can safely be handled by airport workers and which is therefore the common maximum weight of any individual checked item in Economy Class; and further that 32kg is the maximum weight allowed for any single piece of checked luggage.
No airline in the US or Europe should ever have accepted your single bag of more than 32kg.
