You will have to go through passport control and security between your arrival and departure gates whichever route you follow. I think your best bet is to go through passport control in T2, take the Skyline to A and clear security there. This is because passengers arriving in A by the Skyline go through a separate dedicated security check point which is usually very quiet. Some people even take the Skyline from the public area of B instead of going through security into A. This was discussed in this thread some time ago though I don’t seem to be able to find the relevant posts right now.
Thanks! That is just what I was thinking too seems to make the most sense.
If it's a B gate for my Schengen flight (usually it's A, but sometimes B, I've been following), is it still faster to take the SkyLine to A, dedicated security there (at B I think it may dump me into the general queue?), and then take the tunnel back to B?
I very much know this is a tight connection. It's a calculated risk I am taking. If my US departing flight to FRA is delayed, I'll try to get put on to AMS instead, and then buy a last minute flight out of AMS. That's my back-up plan (if DL will do such a change in case of a delay, as is a big question also). Just a case where flight schedules do not line up well, and I have to buy two separate tix regardless..
