I don't think that any carrier would have handled this differently. If you have an inflexible ticket and wish to make a change, you will have to pay a change fee and any fare difference. Close in, that can far exceed the original purchase cost.

Forget that LH can sell the MUC-KEF-MUC segments again. It already has. That is called overbooking.
