One of the Worth It videos on YouTube had an episode on Japanese eggs. They went to one farm that sold eggs priced around $89 for ten, I believe. They asked the owner what he fed to get the color and it was from chili peppers and paprika. He also crossed two different breeds to get the type of egg he was looking for.
