If you expected bonus on top of "double dip" miles, you will be disappointed. Status-based bonus (50% for Diamond, 25% for Gold, etc.) is applicable only to base HH points, not to anything else. And that's how it's always been.
However, back when I was a silver I was geting the status bonus on the 50% double dip. However as a gold I'm not. Cest La vie
