Can two bookings be linked to allow reserved seating?

I'm interested to know if it is possible to link together two bookings so I can book advance seating. Any comments or advice would be greatly appreciated!

Here is the detail of what I've done so far...I'd like to travel next August to Florida with my family (4 people in total) using Avios.

There were 2 club seats available using Avios on the flight I wanted, so I booked these (also using a companion voucher).

Then I phoned BA to book two additional seats using 'double avois points'. So I now have two separate bookings for the 4 club seats I needed.

I'd now like to pick our seats but I can only do this for the booking I made with the companion voucher. I can't add the other booking into my exec club account as it says you can only add other bookings if you are travelling on the booking.

Is there a way I can link together the two bookings so firstly BA know we are actually travelling as a family and secondly so it will allow me to pick all 4 seats in advance?

All thoughts welcomed!
