My stays this past 2 months.
Status Platinum.
Fairmont Jaipur
Booked Fairmont Gold Room, didn't get any upgrade. I don't think I get anything special for being Platinum since their staff and hospitality was so good already. Gold room and Gold lounge was very nice, staff were nice. Everyone was so eager to offer us something, for example, there was a party (wedding I believe) and the staff were so eager to get us to try the food from the party, followed us everywhere to get us sit down for the food (we were too busy wandering around the premise taking picture so we didn't try the food). I also got called by name everywhere, maybe my family looked a bit out of place (silly Asian looking) so it was easy to remember and notice haha. Hotel itself was impressive, from their welcome ritual down to hotel decor, breakfast was very limit though. Got a memorable parting gift from hotel; they took a picture of me upon checking out saying it was for their keepsake, but instead they made a photo-frame with it and gave me just before my car leave. That was really something.
Novotel New Delhi Aerocity
Booked Standard Room, got upgraded to Junior Suite. Breakfast was so crowded I felt like playing a survival game. I believe it was busy cause of conferences. Dinner buffet was very good with good variety. Location was close to New Delhi airport, but I didn't get an approved check-in in Places App for staying near an airport.
Novotel Bangkok Platinum Pratunam
Booked Deluxe Room, got upgraded to Premier Park View Room high floor (22th if I remember correctly). Got 2 drink vouchers, asked for the third and they gave me without hesitation which is very nice of them (I didn't use them though). Breakfast was good, dinner buffet was very good with the price paid (6xx THB if I remember right). Surprisingly a nice stay.
Pullman Pattaya Hotel G
Stayed 2 consecutive weekends. Booked Deluxe Room with Partial Sea View, got upgraded to Executive Room with Full Sea View high floor (11th), the same room both times. Hotel is more like a 4 star, not 5, in my opinion as many things are a bit odd and old. Car park space was very limit and not under cover (cars get very hot during the day under hot sun), room was a tad old, breakfast was very limit. Coffee served in a pot instead of espresso machine, I asked about this and the staff said they fill the pot with an espresso machine...um says what? Lounge was OK, can be crowded if it's a long weekend. Seafood dinner buffet was underwhelmed. View was nice with the wide ocean view though, hotel also has beach access. The only Accor hotel with a lounge in Pattaya.
Sofitel Bangkok Sukhumvit
Booked Luxury room (their lowest type), got upgraded to 17th floor. I guess I don't need to say much about this property as there are so many reviews already. Though, lounge was too crowded for my liking.
Pullman Grande Sukhumvit Asoke
Booked Deluxe room, got upgraded to Executive floor on 24th. Didn't get any welcome amenity. Got a plate of fruit in the evening that I think it's turn down service. The stay was better than I expected though, room was good size and looked new, lounge was quiet. Welcome letter said there was complimentary Tuk Tuk to Sky Train station, but whenever I asked they kept saying it's unavailable and they were sorry (?). It isn't that a long walk to the nearest station, so it's OK. Parking though that is something holding me from going back there. Space is extremely tight, going up and down the ramps I could see a lot of scratching marks. Definitely not going to stay here if I bring a car. Other than that it was a nice stay.
