My daughter and I had our GE interview today at JFK. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were take in together about 20 after our appointment time. There were a lot of people waiting when we got there. The waiting room was full and we had to wait out in the terminal area. The interview involved the the Officer confirming our info, took pics and prints. He gave us a quick rundown and said that we should be active tomorrow. In and out in 10 minutes for the 2 of us. Meanwhile my wife is still waiting for CA. The Officer said that there was still a backlog of people still waiting for CA from the gov't shutdown.
After the interview we took the airtrain to T5 and walked over to the TWA hotel. It was cool.
Anybody going to JFK for their interview should park in the T4 lot at the opposite end of the lot from the parking garage.
