I'm going to fly about 3-4 TPACs on BR in over the next year. All in Elite Class. I earn 100% when crediting to Aeroplan - a program I understand and know how to redeem for flights.

Is it better to credit to IML instead? I would earn about 100 or 115% for each flight flying routes such as YYZ-TPE-KUL/BKK/SGN/HAN.. No privileges when crediting to Aeroplan (not a Star Gold flier).

To become a Silver or Gold member, is the accumulation period Jan-Dec calendar year, or a rolling 12 month calendar? I have round-trips from YYZ-TPE-BKK in November, and YYZ-TPE-SGN in March and July... so about 60K miles in all.
