I am new to southwest and found out that in order to use chase ultimate rewards points you have to call and can’t use chase portal to book.

I am wondering if transferring points to southwest is easy and gives more flexibility.

Many pros and cons and which method to use to book? What happens if I want to cancel or change dates etc.
