Ideally they'd let me fly HAM-AMS-DTW on the 7th with the DL 350 and and the JV and call it even. Or worst case make me fly DTW-JFK on the 8th to line up the destination. (I have an award flight JFK-RDU that evening, but I can cancel for free as a Platinum)
Less ideal is HAM-CDG-JFK, as I have heard horrible things about AF PE on the 380. But that would still beat LHR.
