Sounds slightly different to me, even though I had the same flight cancelled e-mail as you.

When I initially opened MMB, for the disrupted flight I had a big button which said “you have the option to rebook”, which when clicked is what gave me the above page.

It does seem odd that you had an e-mail saying your flight has been cancelled, but then MMB tells you not to do anything!
