I have been refused any changes to my INV-LHR-AUS on the 11th. They are telling me that the flight ex INV has not been cancelled, although the inbound of the 10th has. They held firm that the flight leaving INV at 7:00am will operate and I can make my connection to AUS as scheduled.
I escalated to supervisor and he insisted that the flight on the evening of the 8th will sit on the tarmac at INV until morning of the 11th to operate my flight.
I am now in position that I have offered an acceptable outcome which BA have declined to accommodate, therefore any goodwill that I might have had has now evaporated.
I hope others have more success than I have had.

Presumably the planes are going to have to sit somewhere during the strike. They can't fly them all back to Heathrow empty as there simply wouldn't be enough space for them all. Will the crew be expected to stay at Inverness for the two days of the strike as well? I guess they will.
