As AC transitions more MAX aircraft into the fleet (once the ban is lifted), and the older airbus aircraft are retired I am certain OTP will improve, at least domestically.
As a KPI, I doubt AC is simply ignoring the OTP issue. However, until the MAX and A220 have replaced a good chunk of the current domestic fleet, I doubt we will see much improvement in this metric.
What are you in about?
Since the grounding ACs OTP has actually improved. They weren't even pulling in 50% in Feb.
And yes AC is ignoring it, as long as profits keep rising, why care?
