Upgrade to PE in stead of BP on trans tasman?

curious as to whether any of you have ever chosen to upgrade to Premium Economy on a trans tasman flight when using a short haul upgrade voucher?

on the face of it I know it seems like a ridiculous question but I was thinking about my flight next week AKL-SYD on NZ105 which is a 1515 departure operated by a 787-9. On this afternoon flight my priority is probably to work, maybe watch some entertainment and have a glass or two of wine, certainly not to sleep!

The business seat is really not well suited to this and perhaps PE is better, especially with the narrow seats on the 787.

I couldn't bring myself to choose PE and just defaulted to business which has come through and been confirmed but curious whether any of you have done this or would do it?
