I received the "upgrade" offer and was looking into it, but then got confused about the First Checked Bag Free details.

The link above takes you to a page that says "As a benefit of Card Membership, you can check your first bag free on Delta flights booked with your Card." (bolding mine). However, in the T&Cs that follow, I don't see anywhere where it states that you had to purchase the ticket with the card (unless my reading skills have significantly deteriorated

).

So which is it, have to had purchased the ticket with the card of just have the card?
