Hungary's official currency is the Forint (HUF) but the Euro is widely accepted. Are you booking on Marriott's website? I stayed there in late April/early May 2019 and the lounges were crowded, but you could find a seat.

Yes you will
- We'll be arriving after midnight 12:15 am from LHR (if all goes well). What's the best way to get to the hotel, especially given that late hour?
Take a taxi. the stand is right outside arrivals. Go up to the stand and tell them your destination. They will print a receipt with the (estimated) cost and the taxi number. The taxi will pull up to the curb adjacent to the stand. Taxis take HUF or credit cards, maybe Euros but at a poor rate. Do not change money at the airport, do it in town at one of the local booths (several within 4 blocks of the hotel). I think the taxi is about 25 Euros give or take, from airport to Marriott (or opposite)
I would like to EM them to confirm that they hold my room since we won''t arrive till what after 1 am?
depends how long to get bags and clear immigration (figure 30-40 minutes), plus 20-25 minutes taxi ride.
have a great trip!
