This is as good a thread to bump as any I guess, but I'll be flying in to Naples next month for my first time in Italy and while I realize that tourist horror stories are often overblown I'm starting to wonder... are Naples taxis really that bad? I'll be arriving in to NAP after about 30 hours of travel and it'll be almost midnight when I get to the taxi stand so honestly I don't even care if I get overcharged by a couple of Euros. I just don't want to get majorly scammed and have luggage go missing or get charged double or triple what I should pay or anything like that. Is there anything in particular to look out for when choosing a taxi or talking (with a language barrier) with a driver before getting in the car?
