I was volunteering at MSP from noon to 8pm today. I missed the worst of the early morning lines but did hear one report that TSA was timing the process through the checkpoints and found the longest time to get through to be 30 minutes. I observed several times during the day when the North checkpoint lines extended back to mid-terminal but the lines always moved really quickly. The elite/first class/handicapped/unaccompanied minors line at North never looked very long when I was near it. The PreCheck lines at South tended to be quite reasonable and fast.

The bigger congestion I saw was in the Delta bag drop line, which was really long during much of the day. During the late afternoon/early evening the Self line (where pax can check in, print out tags, and drop their bags on a belt) was not in operation. I don’t know whether that was caused by a staffing issue or problems with the kiosks.
