As a dual citizen, this is also my dream.
I sure love that SFO-YUL, with connections, is often more expensive than SFO-LHR direct.

SMF-YVR on AC is $600 with a checked bag. SMF-SEA is $160. I just booked that ticket. Yes, I can take a flight to SEA and drive to Vancouver, but that is a pain in the ..., particularly if you arrive at SEA close to the last amtrak train to vancouver.
