Few years ago we were upgraded to F (with points). SYD-LHR. Originally selected 2A and 3A. On departure day we had been moved (invol) to 5A and 5K. We complained at checkin and ended up in 3A and 4A. Turned out there was a QF contingent onboard and “ordinary” pax were being moved out of their way. Not a really great flight as the FAs certainly had a lot of their friends in the cabin and they were being looked after quite well. YMMV.
