Can luggage be checked in mid-trip at HKG
Will be carrying 3 large suit cases with quite a lot of stuff, from SIN to SYD. flying SIN-HKG-PVG-HKG-SYD.
SIN-HKG-PVG one ticket and PVG-HKG-SYD another ticket, all on the same day.

Is it possible if I short check my bags after SIN-HKG, take them out and got to CX counter to check in for HKG-SYD?
or what would happen if I simply "forgot" to collect them and try to get them back few hours later after immediate turn from PVG.

Left luggage will not work as my flight to PVG is at 7:20am.

Turn around time at PVG is about 2 hours, and I do prefer not to bring the stuff I'm carrying into PVG as might get tax and delay my transfer.
