Just returned from my stay at the Regent Porto Montenegro, so will leave a quick update.
Firstly Porto Montenegro is a new "rich man's playground" build just outside Tivat. It comprises luxury hotels, apartments and private residences. as well as a Marina, high end shopping, bars, clubs and restaurants. After being open a few years now it is pretty mature and established and they have done a great job imo. You get a feel of the South of France and Italian luxury at a third of the cost (albeit that is still pretty expensive !).
We were staying at the Regent for 3 nights, on points at the end of our holiday to Montenegro and Bosnia. We arrived early at the hotel (around 11.30am). Although the room was not ready we were checked in and luggage taken. Cold towels and drinks provided during check in. After a quick explore the room was ready by 1.30pm. My Platinum status was recognised and we upgraded to a King Bed Room with Sea View, as well as a voucher for Welcome Drinks (for two people).
The room and view from balcony was beautiful, in the room there was a hand written note from the manager as well as macaroons and a nice bottle of red. There was a turn down service each evening in which you got a different "present".
Unlike any other points redemption stay I have had, we got breakfast included. Taken on the terrace each morning, an amazing choice of buffet and a la carte items. The pool area is stunning and my partner used the spa (80 Euro for the 60 mins signature massage).
The selling rates for the room type and dates we visited were well over 700 Euros per night (if booked recently) and for me it was a fantastic value redemption. Without doubt the first True luxury experience I have had within an IHG chain hotel.
I anyone has any questions on the hotel or areas I visited I am happy to try and help.
