As a One world customer, this of course is an alternative. The Admirals Club in GRU is relatively large, but not terribly comfortable, with an open bar, some cheese/crackers/olives/nuts. It tends to get quite crowded just before the night flights depart. It does, however, sound preferable to the BA lounge for an extended stay. The staff, BTW, is usually quite hospitable.
