Yes they are, and the first route applications have not yet been made public. There's some new ones which will be appreciated - a couple of which have been mentioned in this thread. Unsure of exact timing of commencement. If you're satisfied with "possible" routes, there's lots of info in this thread and in available AC presentations.
Possibly the initial DL offering when they deploy their 220s to our west coast (DFW or SLC are also safe bets). They'll likely be the airport's inaugural A220 operator.
I saw the slide on the possible routes out of YVR. It's interesting that AC is considering A220 to SFO and LAX. LGA would be amazing once the new LGA is ready for action and AirTrain connection to the MTA.
